Flyover Country

Privacy Policy

Effective August 19, 2026

Flyover Country LLC (“Flyover Country,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Flyover Country mobile application and flyovercountry.app (together, the “Services”). This policy explains what information the Services use and how it is handled.

Information used by the app

Accounts, advertising, and sales

The app does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, or payment information. We do not use third-party advertising, sell personal information, or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Online services and service providers

The Services contact third parties to provide maps, aircraft data, scientific and reference content, hosting, and diagnostics. Those providers receive the information needed to answer a request and may also receive standard network information such as your IP address, user agent, and request time. They process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Our principal providers include Mapbox, ADSB.lol, Sentry, Cloudflare, and Wikimedia projects.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the Services or their users, or complete a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. We do not permit service providers to use app information for our own advertising because we do not run an advertising program.

The website

flyovercountry.app has no user accounts or contact forms and does not run our own advertising or analytics tracker. Its host may retain ordinary request logs for security and reliability. The landing page uses Mapbox to render its interactive map, so visiting it also makes requests to Mapbox.

Retention and your choices

Local app data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. Diagnostic reports and server logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting, and operation of the Services, subject to provider retention practices and legal requirements. You can deny or revoke camera and location access in your device settings. Some app features will not work without the related permission.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, but no electronic service is completely secure. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Services change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated through the app or website when appropriate.
